- During the summer of 2009, I decided to take my life. But it didn't feel like a "choice" at the time; it felt like my only option. A degree in psychology, years leading a support group for people with depression, and training in working with at-risk teens did not stop me from attempting suicide. The journey from death to life is a difficult one, and as I was unable to find anyone who shared my experience, I decided to start a support group on Facebook. My own story is dated April 10, 2010.
